Does anyone have experience using a Credit Card to pay tuition and at the same time recieving rewards such as Airline or Cash?

I've heard of this but I don't see any Credit Cards that offer rewards on Cash (only Purchases)

Thanks in advance for any help...

I speak to cardholders everyday who are either paying their own tuition or their children's tuition w/a credit card. The only way you are going to get miles or some other kind of reward is if the card you are charging to has that program. Most card companies don't offer rewards or miles for taking cash advances. Sometimes the company I work for will issue what we call "Miles for Cash" convenience checks for our airline cardholders that will allow you to earn miles using those checks by a certain cut-off date. Just keep in mind that there is a fee for cash and also usually a higher apr and no grace period. And if you have a purchase balance, then when you make a payment, it will be applied to the lower apr balances first before it touches the cash balance. Just something to think about!

If they take VISA/MC for tuition (the book store probably does, so why not tuition)?

Just ask the college.

IF the bursar's office at the college takes visa/mc, then the charge will be a purchase, not a cash advance. All purchase perks (if any) will apply, since it IS a purchase.

Most state-supported schools now take Visa and Mastercard. FOr private schools, it probably varies from school to school.
