hey all so i received a credit card from bank of america with a 7,500 limit and i didn’t activate the card infact i called and asked for them to cancel it the same day i got it…does this get reported to the credit bureaus or no since it was never activated to begin with….just curious and thanks for any feedback.

it’s true , new accounts appears in the credit reports whatever its activated or not.

Activating the card tells them you got the card in the MAIL

Nothing more nothing less

NOT ACTIVATING IT WILL NOT PREVENT IT FROM REPORTING!!!

Why don’t you want it BofA is a good bank and $7,500 ain’t that bad…

…also you already took the inquiry

I WOULD CALL UP AND TELL THEM YOU MADE A BIG MISTAKE YOU WANT IT!!!
