Usually, the only time when this comes into play is when you apply for something jointly. When you apply for a mortgage loan, both of your credit reports may be pulled. This may affect the outcome of the loan, however they will definitely consider your fiance's good credit histoy and make a decision based on that. Even when you marry, your credit histories remaian separate. Since his credit is very good, you may want to consider having him put you down as a joint account holder on one of his credit cards. This can really help your credit because both of you are equally responsible for repaying the debt. That can have a very positive effect on your history if you pay on time. As you can imagine, the opposite is possible as well. That account would show up on both of your reports. So for the most part, unless you do something jointly, your credit won't affect his.
