Hello.

I have two questions. First:

I have a credit card through Capital One. My APR is 19.80% on a balance of approximatley $1,800.00. The card has a $2,000.00 limit. I’m a college student so money is at a minimum, and making a $100 payment each month it is going to take me close to two years to pay it off and cost an additional ~$300 just in interest. I’m looking to transfer the balance to a new card with a lower interest rate (low fixed rate if possilble).

Does anyone have any suggestions or tips that could help me out? Perhaps you have some suggestions on a good card to look into?

Second:

What is the opinion on having more than one credit card at a time? Good idea or bad?

Thanks for your time,
David

Look under “card reports” and click on “low intro rate reports” at this site. There are alot of 0% to 9.9% deals on transfers
