Post subject: Delta Sky Miles Credit Card Review
I received a solicitation for this card. I guess you would charge all of your Delta tickets on this card and you would rack up mileage points. I think other purchases would also be considered for points depending on their policies. But they never talked about how you would redeem the mileage points or how many mileage points you need to purchase a ticket. Could some sophistocated traveller untangle this for me?

Post subject: Delta Sky Miles Credit Card Review
I have this card. It is issued by AMEX. Holders earn one mile for every dollar charged with a bonus mile for every dollar charge for Delta tickets. The annual fee is very high- about $80. AMEX typically offers 10,000 bonus miles to new cardholders which makes up for the fee. Delta is now in bankruptcy, but the risk of the skymiles becoming worthless is low. I accepted a low rate balance transfer for life onto this card, so I will no longer charge to it until it is paid off (to avoid paying regular interest rates on new purchases).

I see. Now would someone explain how many Sky Miles it takes to purchase a domestic or an international ticket? I'm wondering how I would redeem the Sky Miles once I have so many in place.

Go to www.delta.com and click on the skymiles link. Register there for a sjymiles account. The miles required for rewards and the procedure to redeem miles are also listed there. I just heard that Delta will stop flying if their pilots do not agree to the demanded concessions.
