Hi,
I am going to be attending a college next year, but as of now I don't know which one. I am looking to get a credit card, and the student cards seem like the best bet for me because I have no credit history. However, on the applications they want to know what college I attend, and as I said before I am not sure which one I am going to attend. Is there a way for me to get a student card even though I am not officially a college student yet? If not can anyone recommend a regular credit card I would have a chance of getting with no credit history? I am not going to carry a balance so the APR doesn't matter, but I would prefer to have little/no annual fee, and preferably as little hassle as possible.

I think that a student credit card would probably be your best bet. But as you stated, before you can apply for a student card, you first have to be a student! You may have a hard time getting a regular card w/out having any credit history. So I would wait until you've actually enrolled in school and then apply-that will save all in the inquiries to your credit report. Good Luck!

As soon as you get accepted, and as long as it is at a four year Major College.. Contact MBNA, and if you can send proof of your acceptance, you will be approved for a Student Card , usually it starts at 500.00.
Thanks!
