I charge only about $4000 annually. I have both a Citibank Platinum Select Dividend Card and a Discover Platinum. Which would be a better card to use as a primary card? The Discover pays after you earn each $20, but the rebate percentages are lower than Citibank. The Citibank pays a straight 1%, but you have to get to $100 before they pay out.I do not want any other cards. Which is better, to have $20 more frequently, or to go for the $100, less frequently? I am just looking for opinions.

Citgo Visa pays you 1% each month and automatically deduct it from you monthly balance.

Citibank is the way to go, Kim. I personally have dropped my primary card (CapitalOne) and am staying with Citibank’s Dividend Card. After seeing their customer service first-hand, and their generous credit limits (and automatic 6-month increases) I am a member for life. The $100 dollars isn’t too hard to earn, and carries over to the next year if you haven’t ended at the mark. It’s much better.
