I have no idea why but I got a pre-approved Chase Business Card in the mail today and I don’t own a business! It’s a rewards card with great rewards on it that I could put to good use.
3% back in full up to $20,000 of qualifying purchases on:
all gas stations
all restaurants
all taverns
all office supply stores
all home improvement & hardware stores
everything else 1% unlimited
My question is it possible to apply for this card even though I don’t have a business? Has anyone out there done this successfully? I have the Citi Dividend Card that I use for gas, supermarket and drugstore and this card would fit in nicely!

Hmm…I suppose it is possible, but have never heard of anyone doing so! Usually, it’s the other way around. Have you looked over the application?

excluding office supply stores (unless you do a lot of shopping there), I think you can get a better deal on the discover card. They have a 5% card for home improvement stores or one for 5% on restaurants. You have to pick one or the other, though, or have 2 cards.

I have also recieved that offer “rainyday”
and I also do not own a business , I have hesitated to
apply also wondering if there could be some conflicts.

I have been getting this offer multiple times for a few months
and everytime there are some changes to the offer.
I got the same one you are speaking about and I also
recieved one that said 3% back at all “fast food joints” which I thought was
kind of neat because my 5% resturant cards only seem to give me 1% at
fast food places and coffee shops.

the application has a spot at the bottom for a business name
but it dosn’t say that it is required.
and the line you fill out to get an additional card asks for
your “employees” names.

I’m holding off for now.
