Post subject: Capital One No Hassle Points Credit Card
Recently received a "Congratulations-you've earned a free upgrade of my Capital One account" to a No Hassle Points card similar to Citi's Premier Pass. This offer came shortly after they declined me for a credit line increase , despite being an excellent customer for the last 7 years. I think they are just trying to be more competitive as their points seem to have more cash value than Citibank. Despite this so called upgrade, I'm still only going to use it once a month. I surmise this offer is only for Capital one cardholders as I can not find any more information on it.

Nice! I would like to get an upgrade like that as my Cap One card was about to get sock drawered for sure. I just can't pass up free points!

I received this as well on 2 Cap one cards. Not really sure what they terms will be as the letter did not explain much. Still waiting on cards.
I had called a week earlier complaining to a "manager" about the service of the overseas CSR's. They really bungled up a BT I was trying to perform. From now one I will ONLY talk with english speaking natives. We should all demand the same.
Who else has received this "upgrade" ?

Post subject: Capital One No Hassle Points Credit Card
If the terms are favorable to you (please check first!!) just send the receiving company a Cap One check instead. They won't process it to your Cap One acct until the receiver clears it and so you will not be getting charged interest at C1 in the meantime. Trust me, they move fast and accurately on the processing once the other company has got the money!
The only downside is the time spent waiting for the balance to get reduced on the other account. But to me, it's worth it. Ever since I learned that trick on this board, I always take the time to write a C1 check instead. The alternative is doing a BT by other means and then they start charging you interest right away, meanwhile it takes up to two weeks or more to process it to the receiving account. NO, THANK YOU!!
