Post subject: Rental Car Insurance From Credit Card

Is it true that if you rent a car with a gold or platinum car i.e. Capital One Platinum, that you do not need to purchase the added insurance the rental company sells? If this is true, are there any pros/cons?

YOU CAN’T ACCEPT THE RENTAL COMPANIES INSURANCE

Your car insurance is usually PRIMARY

So you have a $500 deductable…your credit card pays $500
