Barbara,

Thanks for your post! I did a search for Zephar Bank on my favorite search engine Google, but it did not yield any results. Then I searched using MetaCrawler (which searches multiple search engines) and still did not get any results.

Did you receive an offer from this bank? Please post any additional details and someone may be able to help.

Best Regards,

I recieved a call from a representative of Zephar Bank he said I was to recieve an unsecured visa for $2500.00. I was told by this man there was a one time charge of $49.00. I gave him permission for a one time payment withdraw from my checking account for the amount of $49.00. When the auto withdraw went throught it was for$149.00 and was taken out by ARCH DEBIT RAPIDPAY CORP, 10-24 SALE ON 10/27/2000. I still have’nt recieved my visa I would like to know if this establishment really exists. Any information I could obtain would be appreciated.

SORRY, you probably got ripped off.

Have your bank try to charge it back.

Yeah, George is right. Call your bank - they probably have a fraud department. If not, contact the FTC - this really could be fraud, and in this case, if it is, it is wire fraud, a federal offense - along with a few other things.

I think I would close that account, if I were you. Someone can get money out of your account anytime they want to.
