Post subject: 1% back on visa card

I currently have a VISA that is paying me 1% back at the end of the year. But they are going to discontinue doing this the first of 2001. Of course their card can still be used but they aren't going to pay anything back anymore. I want another VISA or MASTERCARD that will pay back. We have our DISCOVERY card but it is not accepted as easily as the other two are. Can anyone tell me where I might find a VISA or MASTERCARD that pays you a percentage back?
Thanks

There are several. My own personal recommendation is the Sunoco MasterCard from Bank of America. It pays a 4% rebate on all Sunoco gas purchases and 1% on all other purchases. Other gas & oil cards, such as Gulf, Shell, and Mobil, give similar rebates.

Fleet Bank (www.fleet.com) has a Visa with up to 2% back depending on how much you spend. American Express (www.americanexpress.com) has a platinum cash back rebate card with up to 1.5% back, but like Discover, not everyone accepts it. A good site with other cards and suggestions is www.creditcardgoodies.com.

Have you actually GOTTEN a 2% rebate from Fleet, Pete? It's the end of March and I still haven't gotten a $260.85 rebate they were supposed to have mailed Feb. 15. I've seen the same complaint from numerous other cardholders, so apparently I'm far from the only one who Fleet has stiffed.
