I aqpplied for the Nextcard that had terms of agreement stating a fixed rate of 9.9 % on transfer balances. WhenI received the card and papers inside, it said something totally different. I called and the person on the phone said that I did NOT read the terms correctly. I know that I did becuase I have them printed out before me. Because you fail to comply with what I am suppose to recieve. Please stop the balance transfer immediately. I am very diasppointed with your service.

Jacqeline,
Thanks for your post! Unfortunatley, you will need to contact NextCard directly to cancel your card. All of the sites associated with this board are independent sites that are not directly associated with NextCard (NextCard is an advertiser). NextCard's phone number is 1-888-974-2265.
One thing that some NextCard applicants overlook is the important phrase "as low as". Legally, NextCard is required to use this phrase in all their marketing. You can see this phrase in use on their home page. You may already be aware of this, but just wanted to point it out. This is assuming that the rate you actually received was higher than 9.9%.

hahaha Kat, you are totally right!
Part of what I do as an agent, is train the agents who work in an insurance call center here. It is a very good, ethical company. Well, this time of year, they are a little short on insurance work, so some of the reps are doing credit card calls. One of the cards they are telemarketing is the new Juniper Bank card. Well, Juniper wasn't getting much of a response on 15.99% variable rate, so they changed the script. It now reads "prime plus 6.49%. I have to crack up. Nobody's been fooled by it either. Viva the educated consumer!!!
BTW y'all. If you get a call from someone about the Juniper Bank Card, be nice, they're legit. teehee
