The cash rebate schedule posted on your site is way more generous than the rebate schedule posted on www.fleet.com. Is your information correct? The rebate posted on www.fleet.com makes the cash rebate card quite unattractive. Thanks.

Dear Sting,
This is a shared message board within several sites, could you specify which webt site you are referring to about the Fleet Cash Rebate Credit Card? CardRatings, CardRevolt, or Credit Card Freedom?
Thank you,

It was www.cardratings.org. This site rated Fleet Cash Back card for a 5-star.

Actually, all three sites have the same rebate information, except that the rebate schedule at www.fleet.com for the card is a lot less generous. Comments appreciated.

Sting,
Thanks for pointing this out! Apparently Fleet changed their terms within the last month, because the terms on our site were current as of September! Anyway, I guess they realized that they needed to "scale back" a little.
We have updated our site to reflect the terms on their site, but there wasn't a huge difference in terms and we still rate it with 5 stars. Fleet doesn't sponsor us, so we have no incentive to rate it highly (our ratings are purely unbiased).
Please be aware of the $500 annual cap on cash-back earnings. This means that you will not earn cash-back rebates on purchases that exceed $25,000 ($25,000 X .02 = $500) on an annual basis (cumulative). The AmEx card does not have such a cap.
The key here is to choose a cash-back card based on your normal spending levels/patterns. If you charged a great deal (in excess of $25,000 annually), for example, then you might consider getting both cards (use the AmEx card when you reached the $500 cap on the Fleet card).
Hope this helps!

If I were going to spend $10,000 during the year, what would be the exact rebate I'll get from the Fleet cash back card? Thanks.

Sting,
They are currently paying 2% for annual total purchases greater than $7,999. So it seems you would earn $200 (.02 x $10,000 = $200).

ZERO, if history is a guide. It's the end of March, and Fleet still hasn't paid me the $260.85 they were supposed to have mailed on Feb. 15. And I understand I'm far from the only one they've stiffed.

I don't understand how you could give Fleet a 5 star rating.
It's now the beginning of April and I still have not recieved my rebate check. According to their agreement, rebate checks are supposed to go out no later than 45 days after the end of the calendar year. I have called several times and they are very rude on the phone and will only tell you the rebates are delayed.
IMHO they don't even rate a 1 star rating. I would not recommend Fleet to anyone!

Is it possible in your next software update to permit direct links? It is very annoying to see a lengthy web site posted in a msg and not be able to click on the site and get there directly. Previous msg is a perfect example. Thanks.

Linda & Ira,
Thanks for your comments! We will definitely take this into consideration (it is something we have discussed in the past). We will be launching a new board soon (hopefully later this fall) and I will pass your suggestions on. The new board should have many more functions and be more user friendly. I'll keep you posted!
