Hello everybody,

Could somebody give me some "estimate" about what could my FICO score be if I've got instantly approved for a NextCard Visa card with a credit line of 4500.

Thanks,
Peter

Peter,

I could certainly give it an educated guess if I knew what rate you received. But you can probably just call customer service and ask a rep to give you the score. I usually just ask for something like balance, recent purchases, etc. and add in "By the way, whats my credit bureau score?" at the end of the call. This method has only failed twice out of maybe 10 - 15 attempts. Sucess or failure just depends on who you speak with. If you've recently been approved for the card, Nextcard should have a fairly new FICO score on file.

Take Care,

If you don't mind an additional inquiry, you can apply for mortgage just to find out the score. Mortgage lenders give it out easier than credit cadr issuers. Check before though, and ask for all three credit scores. By default they will probably tell you just one (the one in the middle) and disregard the highest and the lowest.

Eugene.
