I’m looking for ideas… In spring of 1999 I bought 6 airline tickets from United. I was billed twice for these tickets. I contected First USA to fix the probelm. I am still trying to get First USA to fix the problem and they just don’t seem to do anything. At this point I’ve closed my account, but they still show outstanding charges (in dispute).
How do I put pressure on these guys to fix this problem? I have talked to supervisor after supervisor. I have faxed them all kinds of supporting info.
Any ideas????
Thanks to anyone who can help..

First of all, I’ll go ahead and let you know that I *was* an emplyoee in the FUSA resolution (dispute) department. Not much of anything ever gets done in the resolution department, or any other department at First USA.
File a complaint with the BBB and other regulartory boards. First USA is known for bending when higher authorities get involved. The supervisors you’re speaking with are most likely doing everything they can to get this resolved for you, but keep in mind that even they have very little authority. Try faxing the First USA resoltion department (again) and request that they call you back. As far as I know, their business hours are 8am to 5pm central time Monday through Friday (These hours/days may have changed) … so make sure the time you want to be called back is within those hours or else they’ll ignore the request.
Take Care,

Suggestion: Have you tried contacting United Airlines directly? You might get the problem resolved quicker by going directly to the vendor.
