i applied for and recieved the wingspan visa and was promised a 75 check fom gomez.com just for applying and recieving the card...some kind of promotion i suppose. i finally recieved the $75 dollar check from gomez, but 2 weeks later I recieved the check back (along with a $5 service chare om my bank) and a notice claiming insufficient funds to cover the check. thanks alot gomez....and i hope cardratings will be a more responsible when promoting companies like gomez...touted as consumer advocate on your website...haha

That is too weird! I have already forwarded your e-mail to my contact at Gomez and will let you know their response. This is the first time I have heard of this type of situation. I know their checks are good, because we have cashed their checks before. They are a large company. I am sure they will take care of this for you. Probably just an accounting oversight...an unfortunate one at that.

you could have avoided the 5 dollar charge by cashing the check and depositing the money instead of the check.
