I almost signed up with this company and I am so glad I didn't. A salesman called me at home and offered what appeared to be a deal to transfer all my credit card balances to one bank card (which I could "chose") for a 3.9 fixed rate for 6 months and then 9.5% fixed rate thereafter. It sounded good, so upon further questioning it turns out that for a fee of $399 which they insist on charging to one of the credit cards you intend to transfer they will send you a package of deals that they have researched for you and then you can chose to apply for. These deals will be "as low as" 3.9% for six months and no more than 9.5% thereafter. The name of this company is Carrol Enterprises. The salesman wouldn't give me a phone number to call him back but he did (after much insistance)give me a customer service number, 1-800-680-9418, when I called it I got a machine. I left a message but they didn't call back. Anyway, just thought I'd alert folks!
