certain amount of dollars spent.
My credit is excellent but I have a B of A card that gives me NOTHING. I
have never had a card which gives me miles.

I have a Chase Bank Master Card. I currently save points for what they call “Ultimate Rewards” program.
Do you know if Chase Bank has a program for frequent flyer miles for purchases? If so, can you give me the details of the program?
Thanks

Jim and Bobby,
Thanks for your posts. If you haven’t done so already, check out our “Airline Miles” report. You can access this report by clicking on “Card Reports” from our home page and then clicking on “Reward Card Reports”. There are several cards listed.
Bobby, Chase has three different rewards programs…a restaurant, retail, and flight program. I assume you have a standard Chase card (classic, gold, or platinum). If so, you should be able to enroll in the flight program. You can visit their website (chase.com) for more info.
Hope this helps!

Hi, I am not a regular user of a credit card, but am hearing more and more that friends are using credit cards that accumutlate miles. We are going on a trip and have not time to apply for that now but will be using our First card Platinum Visa and would transfer that to a credit card that acculates miles. So I am looking for the best card without high annual fee or none and if this would be a wise option for a inexperienced credit card holder? Would appreaciate any advise. ASAP Thank you Darlene

Dear Darlene,
There are a variety of airline reward cards to select from, some with very low annual fees and others with very high annual fees above $150. Ideally, you’ll want an airline reward card that you’ll be able to take advantage of most, here are some tips:
1) Look for a card that offers additional miles for selected purchases, such as through participating airlines.
2) An annual fee should be factored into your spending habits. If you plan to spend several thousand dollars a month on the card, and will be able to earn a free ticket every year, then an annual fee is less important to consider as a cost. However, if you plan to spend only a few hundred dollars, then you’ll want to stay away from high annual fee reward cards.
3) Look for a reward program that will allow you to combine miles earned with airline frequent flier programs. Some credit cards do not allow you to combine rewards, and therefore may be a less attractive option to those who may frequently fly on a specific carrier.
4) The interest rate is important, but reward cards aren’t known for their low rates, so don’t plan to carry a balance, otherwise you’ll pay high finance charges.
Hope these tips help!
Sincerely,
Alex Daskaloff

Post subject: credit cards with Frequent Flyer Miles?
Darlene

Dear Customer Service,
I am looking for a credit card that includes flyer miles
as a benefit when the card is used. The card should not be restricted to any one airline. (ie: Currently, I have a credit card that only allows you to fly U.S Air and you must book up to a year in advance to reserve more than 2 seats)
Do you have any suggestions?
Darlene

I’m new to this site, and I’ve just begun to look around, but I found a very nice credit card reports section. In there, there is a section called “rewards cards” and within that section there is a list of airline miles cards. Many of them can be used on any airline. I encourage you to check out this resource, it’s got a lot of great information that will allow you to compare cards and choose one that best meets your needs.
