Post subject: Aspire Credit Card Credit Reporting Problem

I just called Aspire and put on my angry voice to get them to report my account to CRAs (they never reported it before). I did not hope for it very much because when I tried to do that about a year ago, they refused. The best thing they could offer was to send me a letter stating the date the account was open, credit balance/limit, that it's paid as agreed, all of this stuff. They said I can attach this letter to my new credit card applications and my odds of approval can be higher (yeah, right!)

To my surprise, now the rep said if I request it in writing, they can start reporting to CRAs. What a relief! It makes this thing so much easier! (If it really works that way).

On the other hand, it's been a while since I had a fight with an issuer, I am loosing my skills just sitting on a bench. Oh, well, I am off to send them that fax...
So boring!

Eugene.

That is true. I requested about 6 months ago in writing that they report my Aspire card to the bureaus. It took about 3-4 months, but they are now reporting it to all 3.
