Using your suggestion, I checked the FTC web site. On this site I found the
"FAIR CREDIT BILLING ACT". This act sets out how disputes should be handled
etc.
On page 3, in the para titled "An Important Caveat", it states that
"disputes about the quality of goods and services are not "billing errors",
so the dispute procedure does not apply. However, if you buy unsatisfactory
goods or services with a credit or charge card, you can take the same legal
actions against the card issuer as you can take under state law against the
seller.
to take advantage of this protection regarding the quality of goods or
services, you must:
have made the purchase (it must be for more than $50) in your home state
or within 100 miles of your current billing address"
I guess my question is what good is a credit card if you don't have any
protection when you are traveling?
I wonder how many consumers are aware of this restriction or do they listen
to all the fancy advertising the credit card companies do about their
protection plans.
Thanks for all your help.

I was wondering if your credit card report provided information on credit cards available in Canada?

Jimmy,
Thanks so much for your post. Unfortunatley, we do not currently rate Canadian credit cards. However, we hope to expand to include Canadian cards in the future.
