Hello,
I do not have a SSN , I have only a TAX ID number.
So far I have spent 2 days to find a company that gives me a secured
credit card but I could not find any! Could you please help? Where can
I find a list of companies that offers cards to people who only have TAX ID number?
Thanks,
Hunor Mecseki
Best Regards,
Curtis Arnold

Bank of America will give you a secured card with just a TAX ID #.
bankofamerica.com/creditcards/index.cfm?template=cc_secured
Pay particular attention to step 4 at the bottom. You will need to fill out form W8-BEN.
Until you have a SSN, the card will NOT become unsecured - FYI. Once you have a SSN, give the number to the company, and you should have an "instant" credit history for as long as you've had the account.
Wells Fargo will also do this, but they're stuff isn't online - you'd have to apply at a branch.
Good Luck!
