Credit Limit Increase Without Pulling Credit Report?

Post subject: Credit Limit Increase Sticky?

I really think a sticky where people can give their experiences with CLI's would be very helpful.

Maybe in a format like this:

If So, Which Credit Bureau?:

The reason I ask is I'm a little in shock of this one myself...

New Credit Bureau Pulled?: No
If So, Which Credit Bureau?: N/A
FICO?: N/A

I thought US Bank was pretty conservative.

US Bank branches are new here in town and I just opened a checking account. I set up the credit card to withdraw payments automatically from the checking -- but for whatever reason it didn't take, so I had a late payment...

I called them annoyed and disgruntled because of the error. The CSR was great. I asked the question "How does this affect my relationship with US Bank, will this be held against me?" She consoled me very well. Then she checked something and offered me a card upgrade (platinum to signature), increase etc.

I asked her if she needed to pull a new CBR like 4-5 times and she assured me she didn't. I checked PG the next day and no hard inquiry!

I use the bill payer service and make large payments monthly. They always seem to throw me a bone every few months. I think they like the heavy usage.

Notes: I just opened my statement last month and noticed the new limit! Too bad I rarely use it. Most of the time I use my Shell gas card ($400) or my new QT gas card ($300).
