Post subject: Citi Sony sold to Bank One & their change in terms:
Just wanted to post this incase anyone else out there had a Citi Sony card that recently got bought up by Bank One. Well recently they changed the terms on my DH's credit card saying that he would be required to pay 8% more then what he currently had. So we closed the account to save the interest rate, and husband got on the phone with Sony to inform them that they just lost a good customer. Yesterday - DH got a letter from Bank One informing him that the change in terms was sent to him by accident, and if he closed the account due to this, if he would reconsider they would open the account and reinstate his current terms. So called and they are going to send out new card with the same account number. Thus avoiding the result of 2 tradelines being reported on the same account. Just wanted to let anyone else know that had this card and wanted them to reconsider keeping it open - just call Sony and you will be hearing from Bank One soon. The only negative my DH has is a 2 year old paid $70 medical collection on his TU report everything else is clean. And his scores range from 650s to 700s...
