Should I dispute my charged off credit card account?

Post subject: How do I dispute if my account is charge off 2 years

Hi, I have one account which is charged off more than 2 years. I havent paid it since 2001 and I live in New York. I want to know, can I dispute this account cuse its more than 2 years of charged off. I know NY SOL is 6 years. If I try to dispute it, do you think, I will get caught by law? Please reply me
