I was going through my wallet yesterday, and noticed that I carry some cards, like Visa, which I use infrequently (once or twice a year). I was wondering how many people carry cards around they don’t use regularly. Is this dangerous? Should these cards be left at home? I know Visa and MasterCard have “zero liability” policies. Should this make a person feel more comfortable carrying around “non-essential” (on an everyday use basis) cards, or should these cards be left at home anyhow? What do other people do? Just curious.

Are three major credit cards too many to carry with you at all times, if you use one of them (Visa) about three times a year? How many do other people carry??

I have three major cards. I use AMEX and MC regularly, and Visa only a couple times a year. Visa has a zero percent liability policy. Is there are danger in carrying all three cards around, even though I only use two of them regularly? I am wondering how many people carry cards around that they actually don’t use often. Is this stupid? Should I leave the Visa at home? I pay all my bills in total at the end of each month, so there is no temptation to use them more than I already do. Carrying three would just be for convenience, if the occasion ever presented itself. What do other people do?
