Look better to whom? Perhaps to the card issuer. They love fee paying customers.
If I were you I would get into the habit of paying in full every month. If you don’t you’ll get hit with finance charges every month. I call that renting money. It’s not necessary unless you absolutely can’t pay in full. The other piece of advice I can give you is to use your credit responsibly. Don’t spend more than you can reasonably hope to pay off in full when you get your statement.
I’m sure you’ll get other opinions. Weigh them all and do what seems right for you and your situation.

I agree with Ira. Pay in full every month. The interest rate that you’re charged isn’t worth letting a balance sit.
Your credit score will be slightly - only slightly - lower if you don’t use your cards on a regular basis. To that end, if you want to get the highest possible credit score and personal benefit, my advice is to use the card on a monthly basis - but always pay in full.
For many people, there will be occasions when you have to carry a balance on a card, but the less you can do this the more money you will save and the better your overall money-management habits will be.
