Post subject: Does Chase allow me to BT to my checking account?
I was just approved for Chase Freedom Visa and wondering if its possible to do a balance transfer to my checking account without it being considered as a cash advance? Thanks!

Why not ask Chase? The rules differ between banks and are constantly shifting and changing. Most likely you’ll be able to order balance transfer checks and write a check to yourself, but this is conjecture on my part, not fact.
Unless you’ve been approved for a very low or 0% intro rate on balance transfers, be very careful that you aren’t paying an outrageous interest rate which will start the moment the transfer goes into effect.

Yes, but only after 3 months of the account being in good standing. Along with your new card from Chase, you will receive their blank BT check which you can write to yourself and deposit it into your checking/savings. Don’t forget to read the terms. Their BT fee is $75 usually.
