Is there such a thing as a credit card offered by a socially responsible/ethical credit card company?

I think all companies try to be "ethical" by business standards, but if you really think about it, it's going to be hard for it to be totally ethical because somewhere along the line the company is going to have a crack head working for it, that's just an example, it may be a compulsive thief as opposed to a crack head....LOL.

They're all ethical per se. You agree to let them do whatever they want, and they consistently re-evaluate your situation based solely on the risk you present.
That being said, it's intuitive (at least to me) that the big issuers got big because they're pleasing the greatest amount of people. You could also say they're pissing off the least amount of people. Depends if you want to see the glass half empty, or half full.

I think you're going about this the wrong way. First ask yourself, are there any companies who are socially responsible? Claiming to be socially responsible and trying their best to adhere to that claim is a close runner-up, so I'll go for those companies, since a really socially responsible company is probably hard to locate.
After that, try to find out if any one of these few candidates offer cc.
This is a link where you can find socially responsible companies.

This may come out as sarcastic, but good luck, lol

On a related note, there are many credit card rebate programs that support various charities/non-profits. Great article here:
