Mouse, that's simply wrong!
I pay all my bills on line from my checking account. It's my responsibility to tell my bank where to send payments. Most payment arrangements are electronic these days, but there are instances where they have to send a paper check. If the payment address changes, or as sometimes happens with bank mergers and takeovers, if the account number changes, it's my responsibility to keep my payment information up to date.
Eternal vigilance keeps the finance charges away!

I think they are changing because I live in North Carolina, and my cousin works at Capital One and he was telling me I might be able to get a job in Charlotte with them!!! I've been to Charlotte a few times, a lot of banks are headquartered there...Wachovia, Bank of America, BB&T is headquartered in North Carolina also in Wilson, NC. McLean, VA and VA also have a lot of financial headquarters.....also a lot of companies period. My cousin used to work for AOL and I've been to their headquarters....he works in marketing. I hope knowing my cousin a lot of stuff will change at Capital One since he recently switched from AOL to them....I know when he was at AOL things started to change a lot...right before he left he made AOL's dial-up plan go down to 19.95/month. He used to work for Citi Financial when he was 16!!! So financial business is kind of in my blood!

I prefer online payments myself, I don't trust BillPay as it made my electric bill late one time with an old bank.
