Hoping a government agency will step in soon to review their practices. TJX, since change to Synchrony, has the poorest customer care available in the US! (Or possibly outside US as stated in other reviews) I have 9 consumer credit cards, student loan and installment credit. All paid on time. Synchrony states that payment I canceled was returned due to NSF funds. They processed my payment although I canceled it. This payment was not authorized and my account was paid on time because I paid it out of different checking amount. I inured bank fees for their error. Which they refuse to reimburse stating it was my error.

Worst company to deal with! Evidently filled with drones - as I could not find a human with feelings or common sense to speak with. I have paid every payment on time or early and often more than minimum due. I canceled two scheduled online payments in plenty of time ( before they were listed as processed) TJX processed them anyway, causing an overdraft in my checking account. To rectify their error, I quickly paid min. due out of another account, as not to be late. TJX not only closed my account because of these payments they presented without authorization, they close my account, changing my debt ratio on my credit report. Furthermore, they never reimbursed me for fees created by their mistake. Consumers Beware! Have heard that overall Synchrony / GE Bank is the Worst offender out there! BTW ratings as listed dont show meaning. I suspect previous review thought reviewed as the worst! As it was not clear I gave them a middle of the road rating - which was much too generous.

REVIEW for the TJX CREDIT CARD: Terrible Customer Service!! When Chase Bank managed this card, I had no problems. It’s VERY obvious that the TJX companies, located in Framingham, MA, was looking to save a buck by switching to GE Retail Bank. Ge Retail Bank routes all it’s calls overseas where we all get to speak to people who are likely to misunderstand us when we speak or even worse, disconnect us when they cannot help us. The automated system is atrocious. You have to suffer through at least 4 minutes of robotic requests and useless information before you are allowed the privilege of being put on hold. Also, at this critical juncture, you just might be disconnected and have to start all over! By the time you reach a person, who is likely to be speaking broken English, your brain is ready to explode. Further, even with STELLAR credit, you get the same exorbitant rate as those with poor credit. Additionally, TJX rewards preys upon those with poor credit, and through their faulty system of poor customer service and endless technical malfunctions on their website's payment system, you will end up with even worse credit scores! To top it all off, there is NO one in AMERICA to help you resolve your issues. You will simply get people from overseas, speaking as if they are reading from a script and saying the same irrelevant things over and over....your ISSUE will never be resolved. PAY off your balance and cancel this card PRONTO. Why aren’t we all complaining to TJX Companies in Framingham, MA? These are the people who decide who will be servicing it’s loyal customers!! We shop at their stores and allow these elite executives a VERY luxurious lifestyle, and yet when we want to handle our affairs, managing very small sums of money, we are put through hell. It’s NOT fair. Also, As of JUNE 2012, these executives have been dumping their stocks….the CEO, Carol Meyrowitz, just sold 5.3 MILLION in stocks…well, isn’t she the lucky one...Nice to be Carol, huh? http://www.gurufocus.com/news/178876/tjx-ceo-carol-meyrowitz-sold-5344749-worth-of-shares- TJX’s Corporate Headquarters The TJX Companies, Inc. 770 Cochituate Road Framingham, MA 01701 Main Number: 508-390-1000

About Our Ratings ×

Our editors rate credit cards objectively based on the features the credit card offers consumers, the fees and interest rates, and how a credit card compares with other cards in its category. Ratings vary by category, and the same card may receive a certain number of stars in one category and a higher or lower number in another.
