Chase Credit Cards spokesperson Deborah Schneider told reporters that her company wanted to add value to small business that were helping to revive the American economy. "Through our participation in the program," Schneider said, "Chase is demonstrating its commitment to our small business customers and on providing simple, cost-effective solutions to their business needs that also deliver value and enable smart business decisions."
Participating merchants' point-of-sale systems automatically detect whether a qualifying MasterCard has been used during a transaction. Eligible cardholders then receive a rebate ranging from 1-20% on a future credit card statement. In many cases, MasterCard Easy Savings can be stacked with additional merchant promotions and affinity rewards. Chase customers can review a list of participating merchants at a special Easy Savings website.
