Capital One has a gift for Mom. Along with TravelingMom.com, Capital One® Venture® Rewards Credit Card is sponsoring a contest worth up to $5,000 in holiday travel for a family of four. And contest entrants don't even have to have a credit card. But they do have to have a good story.

Readers of the traveling mother's website who visit between now and Dec. 10 are eligible to submit their stories of their worst and best family vacations. From the perfect getaway where everyone got along, to the trip that was fraught with mishaps, TravelingMom and Capital One's Venture card want to hear them all, and they're offering the chance to win a do-over vacation for a lucky contestant and family.

Would-be winners can start by visiting http://www.travelingmom.com/home/capitalone.html to tell their story. The prize is four roundtrip plane tickets and five nights in a hotel anywhere in the continental U.S. Contestants can enter a new story every day, plus earn extra drawing entries by using Twitter to link to the contest entry page.

Capital One is promoting its Venture travel rewards credit card as a way for families to minimize the stress of holiday travel.

The contest ends at noon EST on Dec. 10, 2011, and the winner will be chosen by random drawing that day. The winner will be notified by email and they must accept the prize within 48 hours. A full list of rules is on the contest website. Contest is open to U.S. residents only.

About Our Ratings ×

Our editors rate credit cards objectively based on the features the credit card offers consumers, the fees and interest rates, and how a credit card compares with other cards in its category. Ratings vary by category, and the same card may receive a certain number of stars in one category and a higher or lower number in another.

The ratings are the expert opinion of our editors, and not influenced by any remuneration this site may receive from card issuers.

Advertisers in our database are highlighted, and advertisements include an option to apply using links on our site. CardRatings.com may be compensated by companies mentioned on the site when a user's application is accepted or approved by such companies.
