Post subject: Cards like Capital One that does not report credit limit
Any other cards besides Capital One that you know of that does not report the credit limit?
Also, why do you think Capital One does not report these limits? I read one article that said this maybe to prevent competition from knowing who the good customers are. Curious...
Please let know to help a reporter out. Please keep responses to the point and short. Thanks.

I personally believe that Cap 1 does everything it can to keep its "less than prime" customer base from straying elsewhere. There's no question that FICO calculates utilization on a Cap 1 a/c against reported high balance and, thus, their cardholders' credit standing is impaired vs the case were CL's reported. In circumstances where a cardholder has few other accounts, that can be quite effective in reducing attractive alternative offers.
Aside from Cap 1, it's widely discussed that prime "no pre-set limit" cards don't report limits. In truth, these cards don't have an assigned credit limit ... just a stated credit LINE that can be exceeded under the terms of the account.
This reporting is legitimate but, again, is troublesome since appearances are that FICO again will score utilization against reported high balance.

Somebody mentioned that Citi Premier Pass doesn't report CL or high balance.
At least with Cap1, you can charge up to your available CL and then PIF to establish your high balance which is then reported and factored into your utilization.
I also heard rumors that Cap1 will be reporting CL's before the end of this year.
