Post subject: Discover Credit Card Application Requirements

I read some posts here and other site about discover card.One said he got discover platinum with 10000 limit and he has only one yr credit history.Another claimed he got discover with 5000 limit and he has two low limit sub-prime card(300,500).My quetion is, discover has low requirement for credit?

No discover has very stringent credit requirements to quailfy for their card for example you need to be a home owner,and have an annual income of $15,000.00 or more for their classic one,and $30,000.00 or greater to quailfy for their platinum altough if you would have enough income to get their platinum you are not guarnteed that you will get the platinum.I do know this for a fact they use your F.I.C.O. credit score to determin if you meet their criteria for their platinum.I do not know what the exact number is but can give you an ideal what it may be.I would say that you would need a credit score of 680 to 700 points to quailfy for their platinum.I hope this may be of help to you
