How many credit cards can I have from one CC company? For example can I have 15 BOA cards? Or maybe they have a combined credit line limit of for example $70,000 and when I reach that I cannot get more cards or CLIs from them?

The number of cards your allowed for each issuer varies. I think 4 a typical number.

Not sure about any combined limit. I'm sure the card issuers track it, but strangely that is one way to get higher credit limits on a single card. Open two accounts and then combine the credit lines into one.

There are limits on each type of card, it is usually stated in the application "credit lines upto 25K". Some up scale cards have upto 100K credit lines.

the most I have is 3 with citibank, but plan to combine 2 of the accounts when the bt on 2 of them is up. Then apply for another one or 2 with bt offers.
