Mastercard Car Rental Insurance

Post subject: Mastercard Car Rental Insurance

I'm plannign a trip to Guatemala and wanted to rent a car while i'm there but was thinking if I needed insurance since I have a Capital Platinum Card which supposedly covers the rental car if there are any damages.. Does anyone know anything about the Mastercard Insurance?

May not work outside the USA

Not really sure

READ THE FINE PRINT

Call the credit card company

Most of the time it is 2nd coverage

Your insurance is 1st

The credit card only covers the deductable (like $250 or $500 or $1,000)

It is also possibe your car insurance is good ony in the USA

Big Tom , you should check the fine prints about this service. I think Guatemala is ok to use this insurance , but for use check them. If you decide to use the the MC car rental insurance , you must drop the car rental's own insurance.
