SCORE officials told members of the press that Speed Coaching events and other workshops sponsored by American Express have already helped small business owners succeed despite a challenging economy. The agency honored American Express OPEN with its inaugural SCORE Award for Corporate Small Business Supporter of the Year. As credit card issuers find ways to build brand loyalty within the confines of new lending regulations, the American Express OPEN model continues to draw the industry's attention.
