Arcade Fire Headlines Debut of American Express' New Concert Webcast Series
American Express continues to establish itself as the preferred credit card for pop culture fans with the debut of an upcoming concert webcast series. In partnership with YouTube and premium music service VEVO, the credit card issuer announced its plans to stream five live concerts under the title "Unstaged: An Original Series from American Express." The series kicks off with a webcast of The Arcade Fire from New York's Madison Square Garden on August 5.

The concert series comes on the heels of two experimental music webcasts sponsored by American Express in 2010. Featuring performances by Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, and The National. For the past few years, American Express has offered exclusive Cardmember benefits at music events, including exclusive pre-sale windows and VIP lounges. The credit card issuer plans to extend similar perks to online viewers, allowing Cardmembers to select their own viewing angles and to submit photos for display on stage.
