We volunteer on a regular basis to educate consumers
about credit cards in public settings, such as college campuses.
Special thanks to Professor Mary
Ann Campbell, CFP for allowing us to recently address her undergraduate personal
finance class at the University of Central Arkansas.
Among other accomplishments, Mary Ann has served as the presidentially appointed
Chair of the National Women's Business Council.
We also participate in community outreach efforts by being
an active participant in the
Jump$tart Coalition for Financial Literacy Jump$tart provides personal finance
education to K-12 students (not just to teen-agers). We were proud to promote
Jump$tart and responsible credit card usage during Finanical Literacy for Youth Month
(April 2003). We hope you visited our booth at the
Arkansas State Capitol during the 2003 legislative session.

Review: Exxon Mobil is nice to use, just don't lose
it!! I love the 3% back on gas. I use this card only for gas purchases. I get
usually a tank of gas free each month. Someone from Nigeria stole my card
number and used it. I called the company that charged the card and got the
amount refunded. No big deal. But things go interesting next month when I had
another fraudulant charge on the card. It turns out from another company of
the same nature as the first. I called and found out that the charge orginated
from Nigeria. Hmmm... I asked what card number was charged, they gave me the
old card number, the one I cancelled last time. In fact, the card had been
cancelled at least a week before this new charge. The company could not refund
my money, to a card that did not exist. I called customer service, at first
they told me to call the company back. After explaining the situation, they
sent me a Disputed charge form. (Which took a month and a half.)
Best Feature: I love the 3% back on Gas.
Worst Feature: Bad customer service, bad account management.

Review: Card good/customer service bad I first received
this card a year ago. Long story short, I maxed out my card by charging my
tuition, they charged me the annual fee in the same month I maxed out my card
and charged me a late fee. Took me half an hour, a cs rep, and two supervisors
to get rid of the fee because even though they claim they tell you in the
literature when the annual fee is going to be charged, it doesn't say anywhere
(I had kept all the literature sent to me). Second problem, I paid the card
off one month through a Chase bank branch. Card claimed they never got the
payment. I sent a copy of the receipt they had given me at the branch:
no good. I sent a copy of the cancelled check. Overall, took 4 months to
clear up a problem that should never have occurred in the first place.
My advice, never pay through a Chase branch, annual fee is charged in the
second month you get the card (I think). Miles or no miles, I will be giving
up this card in this next year.
Best Feature: Miles, miles, miles
Worst Feature: Customer service leaves much to be desired

The Cardholder Review section is a unique feature of our
site and, to the best of our knowledge, there is no other
organization or company that offers more consumer reviews of
credit cards. It's all about consumers helping other
consumers. As your might expect, this section of our site has
been one of the most popular sections of our site since it was
introduced in the summer of 2000. New reviews are posted on a
daily basis! We hope that you will find this section of our
site useful and that you will visit it on a regular basis.
