Canadianpotatoes, Does anyone know of some good travel cards that don't require you to spend $25,000 before you can even get a ticket, like Bank of America WorldPoints and others?
Mouse answers, American Express Delta... Always Double Miles® offer applies at qualifying stand-alone supermarkets, drugstores, gas stations, home improvement and hardware stores, Delta purchases and the U.S. Postal Service. Offer applies for wireless phone bill payments only. If you only shop at the "right" places (2 X miles) and add the opening bonus (10,000--->17,500 miles), then you won't have to spend $25,000.
AJ, At what limit would Bank of America stop accepting requests for credit limit increases? 25k?
Alex, There are no limit restrictions on credit limit increase requests that would make Bank of America stop accepting requests. Every decison is based on your existing credit history, debt/income ratio, ect. You can put a request in for any limit that you may desire with no restrictions.

| Recent Credit Card Reviews by Consumers Like You |
Following is a sampling of the latest consumer reviews that can be found by clicking the "Cardholder Reviews" link above. We take pride in the quantity (our site offers approximately 19,000 reviews of 956 different credit cards) and quality of the consumer reviews that can be find on our site. New reviews are added on a daily basis. The cards are rated on a scale from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest recommended. Credit Card: Barnes & Noble Platinum Plus MasterCard® Review: I got this as a combined credit card/membership card through Barnes & Noble. No annual fee on the card, but there is an annual fee to be a B & N member ($25). However, when you apply you get a $25 gift card after your first purchase with this card. So, the first year's membership fee is free. The rebate is 5% for B & N purchases (including the cafe, which is for all intents and purposes a Starbucks) and shows as an instant credit on your statement, thus reducing your balance every month. I only use this at B & N and pay off the balance every month. This works well, since the credit limit is fairly low and the APR is pretty high. With the 5% rebate alone I've gotten almost $15 in rebates in about 6 months. It may not sound like much, but combined with the B&N membership discount (the card doubles as the membership card) of 10%, plus if you like to make purchases online many books are discounted on bn.com, and free shipping on orders above $25, then you'll be loving this card! I haven't used customer service though. Best Feature: Instant rebates applied to balance; discounts on all Barnes & Noble -related products Benefit Rating: 5 Service Rating: 4 Recommend: Yes Credit Card: Bank of America Visa® Platinum Card Review: My card used to be a MBNA card but it is now a Bank of America card because BofA bought MBNA. Since that time I have had to accept terms and conditions to use their website; I didn't have to do this before when I paid my bill on-line at the MBNA website. I can't get anyone from Bank of America's customer service to explain the terms and conditions; so, therefore I do not know what I am signing up for. That is one heartburn I have with them (they think I'm just being difficult). Second, I used my card at Target where I was christmas shopping with my nieces and nephews (8 of them). I bought something in one part of the store and then when I went to check out with the rest of my purchases, my card was declined. This is on christmas eve, store full of people, and with my 8 nieces and nephews. I call right there on the spot and Bank of America had put a hold on my card for "unusual activity". They took the hold off on the spot and said they have a new security system that caused this to happen. Two days later, I bought a materess and then I paid my car insurance. Bank of America put another hold on my card later because of those two activities and I found out when I went to pay for diner that night. Needless to say I am not a fan of Bank of America and I will be canceling my card; enough of being embarrassed by them. My credit score is over 800 and I pay the balance off every month; I don't need to be treated like this. Best Feature: low permanet interest rate Overall Rating: 3.5 Credit Card: BP Visa® Rewards Card Review: The least attractive feature of this card is their customer service. If you are a persistent card holder, as I am, just keep calling until you get someone who is helpful. However, I would a agree that this customer service group is not too good overall. But for me, as a delivery driver earning a few hundred dollars per year in free gas, I can get past that one flaw in this great card. Best Feature: free gas Overall Rating: 5 Credit Card: Citi® Diamond Preferred® Rewards Card Review: I have had Citibank credit card for approximately 10 years now. I've never had any other credit card (mostly due to the fact that I'm stupid enough to carry 3-4 different cards, with 3-4 different rates, balances, payments, etc.). There is one thing I can say about Citibank: they go to bat for you if you have a problem with another company. I have only had two problems with other companies when I used my Citibank card to purchase something. When the deal went wrong (for whatever reason) I simply called citibank, asked them to take care of it, and they did. Typically, inside of week, I had my dispute resolved fairly. Unfortunately, I have also had the unplesant experience of being "passed on", or "tossed around" from one customer service rep to another - having to tell my problem/story over and over again. But, sometimes it gets taken care of after talking to just one or two people...I guess it just depends on who you get. Best Feature: Dispute Resolution Overall Rating: 4 Credit Card: Sierra Club MasterCard® Review: I got this card soon after I had already received my college brand MBNA card. I decided my school didn't need the money as much as the environment did so I converted to the MBN Sierra Club. A Recent merger with Bank of America has caused no problems. I am a responsible person who knows what having a credit card means, even back in college. Read the fine print always! That's what it's there for. I pay my bills on time and most of the time pay them in full each month. It gives money to the Sierra Club, and whatever that amount is, at least it's something. I use this card for absolutely everything under the sun, and then pay from my checking account. It has taken me no time at all to collect enough points for a free international flight. Best Feature: Money given to the Sierra Club and all the Points I get towards a free something. Overall Rating: 5 Credit Card: Sears Gold MasterCard® Review: I have had excellent service from Sears, but now that they are part of Citibank, I am watching for changes in terms. I really like the ability to walk up to any register in a Sears store with my statement and pay my bill right then and there. That has saved me from late fees a couple of times. I don't like the fact that I am not able to schedule an online payment for a future date; only for an immediate payment. I like to schedule payments the minute I receive the bill and then be able to file them away and not have to deal with them again. Best Feature: I can pay my bill in person in any Sears store. Overall Rating: 4 Credit Card: Victoria's Secret Angel Credit Card Review: I got this card no more than a year ago (I actually think it's a little under a year ago). They opened it up with a $250 credit limit. This card has so many awesome rewards. I can't even count how many free things I've gotten so far. A couple months later they raised my credit limit to $500. I've never made a late payment or missed a payment. I'm going to be 20 in a few days and they just raised my credit limit to $1,030. Best Feature: The Credit Limit Increases and Rewards Overall Rating: 4.5 Credit Card: Total Visa® Card Review: I applied for the card after finding the application online. I was called about four weeks later about a late payment, but had never received a card or any other notification about having been accepted. Upon letting the csr know that I was without a card, she was to have another card sent to me and the payment reset until I activated the card. This was about five weeks ago, and no card. However I've received at least two calls a day saying that I need to make a payment or my credit will be in jeopardy. I have told each person about how the payment was to be reset and I still have not received my card. I even tried to get a web address to just make the payment and avoid the phone calls. The website was not valid and the call back number was out of service. I have now told them to forget my name and never call me again because I don't owe them a single cent. All I owe them is to try and make sure no other victims are captured by their scam. Even after finding this site I am quite sure all the good comments are part of the scam as well. Best Feature: none Overall Rating: 1 Credit Card: Hilton HHonors® Platinum Card from American Express® Review: This is probably the best hotel card in the market. I have another Priority Club/Holiday Inn Credit card and it's nothing compared to this card. I get 5 points for every dollar in certain places and 3 points everywhere else - compared 1 point for every dollar on my Priority Club/Holiday Inn card. I get more points for my dollars and a better hotel compared to Priority Club. Best Feature: More points for your dollars/More hotel for your dollars Overall Rating: 5 The Cardholder Review section is a unique feature of our site and, to the best of our knowledge, there is no other organization or company that offers more consumer reviews of credit cards. It's all about consumers helping other consumers. As your might expect, this section of our site has been one of the most popular sections of our site since it was introduced in the summer of 2000.
